Swarm Catchers

We have members who will remove honeybee swarms from inside your walls (cutouts) or from your yard.

What is a swarm?

A swarm is typically a colony of bees searching for a new home composed of a queen, workers and drones, usually taking place in late spring or early summer.

They are not aggressive and pose no threat unless unduly provoked.

What swarm catchers do

A swarm catcher will bring the necessary equipment to move the bees to a safe place. All beekeepers can catch  swarms typically on tree limbs. Some beekeepers have the skills and equipment to remove bees form inside walls and other areas in your home. That activity is called a "cut-out". The ACBA list below includes both.
